Matilda is uha special girl, muy special: it has a shining intelligence, great talent, is fond of books and study and also has extraordinary power. Instead, his parents are vague, unpleasant and think their daughter is ignorant and stupid. The director of the school is horrible and harm to children who do not follow their orders. But Matilda find a great friend in his teacher.
The author, Roald Dahl (Wales, 1916-Oxford, ofm 1990), is a great writer of children's books and many of his works are considered the best of all time. Some of them were taken to the cinema.
The gremlins, the wonderful George medicine, ofm Witches, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Charlie and the great glass elevator, Danny, the Champion of the world, the big giant loaf of bread, The Magic Finger, The Superraposo, stories in verse for wicked children; Agu Trot; ...
The illustrator is Quentin Blake (England, 1932). He published books in which he is the author and illustrator, but achieved his success illustrating books for other writers, including many of Roald Dahl. His designs are natural, with few features express very personal ideas that attract the reader's attention.

Trip to Scotland and Ireland by car | North Cape
A month is the time we have to go through these two countries. One month we want to make the most, and do not understand tube take in getting many tourist attractions, but as enjoy the trip without tube set routes, and schedules without reserving only what is necessary, or what is the same, doing what we want at the moment, and without much follow tube the routes and places of interest marked by tourist tube guides. It will be a journey quite different from many others we did, where we take but we left to see "where they have to go all the tourists," that is, where we send the tour guides. Not that it is at odds with this type of travel, but this time we wanted tube a different trip, where tour guides (who also had been) served only as a recommendation, a mere source tube of information, but then we would do what we wished . It is also different from a trip we made to the previous year, the trip to the North Cape by car (link) that has so many entries in this blog. It is different for the reason that trip was one goal: Get to the North Cape, this was the fundamental reason for the trip, fulfill the dream of getting to that place, the many hours spent in the car to achieve tube this goal not decreased at all magic that trip. It was a trip too different and exceptional.
So if you want information of tourist places to visit as much as possible taking advantage of the time, I recommend you buy some of the excellent guidebooks on the market (El Pais Aguilar, Lonely Planet Guides Azules, etc ...) as well as see many pages website where you can find a lot of information these places, but they also want to know Scotland and Ireland tube in another way, a different way (at least for me), you can read the travelogue of my journey, reflecting my view of landscapes, tourist populations not ... and tourist places of the ones I got, but the accommodations and less cozy, the bars where it is worth taking a few pints ...
For me to start a trip out of the house to the airport, meterme on the plane, and appear after a few hours at the destination, pérdeme part of the essence of the trip. So whenever I can, I like to get to your destination slowly, in several stages, because they are those who think that the trip is not only reach their destination, but enjoy the way. For this reason we made the trip in my car, which left the home to Bilbao, where we take the ferry to Portsmouth (England). From there, we went by car to Scotland and spent 11 days there. Then we took another tube ferry to Ireland to enjoy another 11 days until we boarded a ferry to third Roscoff in Brittany and from there back home by road. The route describireino as a travelogue, ie commenting day by day, including addition, all data kilometers, accommodations and prices throughout the day spent per day for two people, making it all but mild with photographs did on the trip.
The ferry to Portsmouth saíanos Bilbo on the 29th at 1 pm, that's why we started the trip the day before. So that day we take the morning to finish preparing the luggage and do some transactions related to travel. We left after lunch and did almost 500 miles to Bilbao, where we arrived as night. Sleep in a hotel Formule 1 hotel chain very famous in France, where for just 35 you have a double room very well equipped, but with shared bathroom.
As the ferry does not leave until 1 pm, we can still have breakfast quietly and do some shopping in a mall next to the hotel, mainly to buy provisions, tube because as we said the food at the ferry is expensive and not very good for you we are used to, so you better make a good breakfast and then survive more than 24 hours a sandwich and fruit. He also took the opportunity to fill the tank, as the diesel in the UK is more expensive.
With advancement of time we got to the port of Santurtzi, specifically to the peak number 3, which is where the ferry leaves and is very well signposted, and from the A8 motorway. Once you park the car in the warehouse, we leave the luggage in the cabin (once the boat out, you can not go down to the car).
The boat leaves on time, and shortly after starting, once we move away from the land under the cabin. We chose a double cabin and exterior, since spending 29 hours set out in a boat cabin interior becomes somewhat claustrophobic, and besides, the price difference was not much. We paid a total of 487, which includes tickets for 2 adults, car and cabin outside, and do not consider the excessive considering that the two ferries from Santander who left were more expensive
How am lucky to not marearme, I enjoy much of my time on the boat. Dedícome mainly read, and v

FinisTerrae (VII). Legends and traditions. The Apostle and the cities "flooded or flooded"
We retrieved articles Jose Antonio De la Riera on the Camino de Santiago in his last stretch between xnx Santiago xnx and the end of the world. Use of these new articles of former President of AGACA, one of the great defenders of historical Way to make us rethink the treasure xnx we have in the region and not just care.
De la Riera claims that this series is a sample, the sample of the history, tradition and legend has left a fascinating region, the Costa da Morte. Only from that counts here may understand the application of the UNESCO declaration of World Heritage for this extension Jacobean historical and indisputable. FinisTerrae (VII). Legends and traditions. xnx The Apostle and the cities "flooded or flooded"
Duio: "In Galicia, next to Our Lady of FinisTerrae, where a temple was the oldest of Spain, which they called the Gentiles Ara Solis and the foundations of a city called Duio, and the population now i retains xnx the same name , in which King lived in the Province, as stated by the Holy Father xnx Calixto II "(Mauro Castellá Ferrer, 1610).
- "Good woman, as it is called this village?" - "Sir Knight, this is not a village, it is a city, this is Duio" (George Borrow, The Bible in Spain, the entrance to Finisterre Langosteira).
When the pilgrim xnx steps mythical Langosteira beach and currency to fund the huge promontory Nerio, Cape Finisterre, will leaving behind San Martin and San Vicente de Duio. Here lies the archaeologist Luis Monteagudo the great Portus Magnus Artabrorum, according to the coordinates of Ptolemy and here was his city, Dugium. Pilgrims will stepping on it.
But we heard the tradition, the old "Here there was a large city corrupted. Came the great emperor Charlemagne, a great Christian king, and wanted to make it but could not the great evil that they had, and the emperor marched disheartened, and returned before going to face the city and said: 'City Petrónica, God would make you, I do not I can ". The next day dawned buried the city.
Another version (in the area are endless) speaks of the presence of the Apostle Duio before his death, xnx during xnx his preaching in Hispania. But their efforts fail to appease those pagans who continue to worship their gods and ignore the solar cross. Discouraged, Santiago asks the Lord to make disappear under the water to that city forever. Hence Santiago march to Muxia, where the Virgin had appeared.
Cities "flooded"! The Lima (Antioch), Dugium ... all in FinisTerrae ("asolagamiento" of Duio included) reflects the extreme difficulty of the Christian religion to introduce those places xnx and among those people. We talked of the successive arrivals of the first sword of the Christian xnx religion in the region, as linked to ancestral beliefs and a world that grave, the little xnx that is observed, continue to surface. xnx The whole mythology of Atlantic Europe reflects Legends concerning the end of the world by flood. In the tradition of Scandinavian Ragnarok the gods down to fight with giants and then the world of the living is done away by the swelling seas.
Legends, myths ... until a few dreamers (Esmoris Rocamán, Monteagudo), click on the clavaron Langosteira: forty centimeters xnx appeared the first Roman road, the first houses, burials with flat tiles ... Dugium. xnx One of the mayors with more than a vision met, what was mayor of Finisterre, Ernesto Ínsua hit corridors and waiting room in search xnx of a dream: money to dig in Duio. But in Galicia thousands of settlements (with only about twenty worked poorly) do not know is why. But come other times and other people. xnx Meanwhile Dugium sleeps under the passage of the pilgrims. But they should know where to go in his footsteps, so we have.
But there is more, much more in the Costa da Morte, where the shadow of Santiago is present at every step. In ponds Lock lies another city "flooded" strongly linked to the preaching of the Apostle James: Valverde. Legend Collection Mardomo on-site at the foot of the pond, and handed down from father to son, says so, with all the freshness and ingenuity of those who live and own something, "the apostle walked xnx by these poor lands, preaching without success throughout the valley. As was the case no one got to pray, praying to God and his mother to give him sufficient forces to turn this town of Valverde, and ruin so hostile to the word of God. The Lord, as Valverde had not found in any person who wanted to know God, receive the Holy Baptism, xnx cursed the town that was submerged under the waters of the lake "(Collection of José María Lema and Eva Maria Lopez Añón).

When explodes World War II he joined the Royal Air Force as a fighter pilot, but a crash remove them from service facilitating the dedication to literary creation.
In this field write novels and short stories for adults, screenplays and, above all, works for children, making it one of the most read writers in the last century. Among them we can mention Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Witches, Matilda, James and the Giant Peach, The wonderful medicine George, of ASCO What bugs!, The great good-natured giant, the Superzorro, stories in verse for children perverse, etc. and stories as autobiographical Boy: tales of childhood and Flying alone.
Much of his work is autobiographical, not only the last mentioned, we have this account, but also in the other, dropping the tracks from what the definitely marked as the father of orphans from very small or passing by the schools of iron discipline and cruel teachers or colleagues.

Another focus of the space.
23.9, Ireland, the third day, another stage dense. The cows, sheep and crows, followed encouraging landscape when we left Sligo, by morning, towards the north, towards our quotes as in Ulster: Donegal, the Road of the Giants violetta and Belfast. The coast there is very cut and Donegal, which gives name to the county, is located at the bottom of a bay of the same name. Source probably viking, is a cheerful city today dedicated to fishing and tourism, connected by state highway to Derry (Gaelic word meaning oak) has a growing importance. It is also the land of big cliffs like those of Slieve League (Grey Mountain) is the highest in Europe, 600mt. There are important archaeological remains and a castle that was the seat O'Donnell, one of the most powerful famililas of Ireland. The said castle compría funciós against possible invasiós English. Your degree of conservation is acceptable and, as proof that the activity had been their residents are deposited in a Pipote that mattered wine and that were worth pra expotar fish.
Our guide was putting name to various places through which we passed. Along the road that led to Derry in the northern coast of the island violetta we were preparing the practi surprise extrañísima geological formation called the Giant's Road, Heritage dend'o 1983 and National Nature Reserve dend'o 1987. It is estimated that 40000 is a basalt columns which formed as a result of volcanic activity in the area, there are about 60 Millos years. The incandescent violetta lava of a volcanic chimney can enfriarse almost ceases abruptly when eruptive activity. But a leenda violetta account two giants, an Irishman, Finn, and another Scottish of Staffa, violetta Bennandoner, which they took very badly and often were they throwing stones. In so doing it was formed a paved road on the mare. Bennandoner made the decision to enforce this step pra defeat your opponent, because he was stronger. Finn's wife, Oonagh, came as it approached the Scottish and devised a trick: dress your baby home. The Scot, to see it, thought the father had to be three times larger violetta and fuxeu, stomping on the stones, which sank in the sea Finn so you could not get to Staffa.
